Another week, another vlog.

Nintendo released a partial list of releases for the first half of 2008.
I haven’t looked into all of these games yet, but this month, I’ll be picking up No More Heroes. March also looks promising with Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and the long-awaited Wii port of Okami, one of the most critically acclaimed PS2 games of 2006 (though not a blockbuster).
I’m also partial to the Worms franchise, though I’m still trying to get Marc hooked on the Xbox Arcade version. The Wiimote would definitely be better for aiming banana bombs at unsuspecting annelids.

No! We’re not talking about Ellen’s recent Guitar Hero demonstration (Barracuda!).

We’re talking about Australia-based Tracy and Angela’s vlog Gay Girls Who Game, a joint endeavor of LesbianGamers.com and AfterEllen.com.

This week they talk about everything Wii: the five reasons you need one, games you should get, and accessories you shouldn’t.
Episode 9 of the Angry Puppy vlog is up at AfterElton.com.
Topics:
We are now a Wii household (Check out Thursday’s Angry Puppy: Episode 9).When I’ve been able to pry Wii Sports from my in-laws’ hands, I’ve been playing Super Mario Galaxy and loving it.
Rather than re-hash everything you’ve been reading about this game for the past year, I’m posting a link here to Zero Punctuation’s) video review, quite possibly the best review ever. [There's some strongish language, so it might be NSFW, depending on where you work.]
Now that I’m a Wii-owner, I’m paying more attention to the accessories and am posting a few of the more interesting ones below:
OK, according to the link, they are made of “Childish soft materials manufacture ,no hazaro” [sic]. Somehow that doesn’t reassure me.
- Most Wanted by Me (but Not Available in the US): Wii Balance
I don’t actually believe that you can really get fit with the Wii (and neither do some British researchers, but these Japanese commercials I found online convinced me. I’m a sucker for Nintendo ads…
This is a real thing. I don’t know what to say.
I saw this game reviewed on G4 a few months ago. Like the trippy Mario Party 8, I think you would need some of Mario’s mushrooms (or be a Japanese schoolgirl) to enjoy this.
