I don’t know what a Friday Night Project is, but apparently they got David Tennant in drag for it in this old clip. I prefer the pin-striped suit, but different strokes for different folks, I always say.

Most of the comments on the YouTube post are about David Tennant’s legs, so I’m a little shaky on some details.

  • Is the Pink Planet a reference to something in particular or was it just an excuse to have a Gay Lord? I liked his response to Tennant’s quip, but I feel like there’s more of a joke in there somewhere.
  • What are those toothy things at the end in place of Daleks? Carr-leks?

In this witchy edition of Angry Puppy:

  • Doctor Who: “The Stolen Earth” and “Journey’s End”
  • Stuff We Watch: Primeval, Spaced, Birds of Prey, Eureka
  • Stuff We Play: System of a Down on Rock Band
  • Reviews: Shutter, High Tension
  • Stuff We Read: Reignbow and Dee-va, Pride High, Hunters of Dune
  • Plus: Our 15 Favorite Witches (look for the full list tomorrow)

In case you were wondering what the hell I was Twittering about last night, have a look at this segment from The Daily Show episode that I was watching at the time.

I’ve also wondered why they often pick that shirtless scene of Sulu fencing when they talk about George Takei in the mainstream media. And a big thanks to Jon Stewart for pointing it out to his (mostly straight) audience, who, understandably, probably don’t think about this sort of thing much. It’s not a sexual scene, but does “gay” only make sense to some people if there’s some skin showing or at least a hint of sexuality?

Granted, Sulu is an attractive guy, (that voice!) but that’s beside the point.

This segment was probably written by someone else, but trivial knowledge of the Star Trek universe seems to flow right out of Jon Stewart’s mouth, no? Hence my Twitter proposal that he be my California-husband. I don’t know how New York State will feel about my having two legal spouses, but if it’s good enough for Utah in the 19th century, it’s good enough for me.

Donna Destruction from GravityFaggot.comJUMP! to AfterElton to see our latest episode!

After all the usual blather, we have special guest Flynn DeMarco, otherwise known as Fruit Brute at GayGamer.net.

And muchas gracias to our friends at GravityFaggot.com for the great t-shirts!

To this day, I can’t hear the Star Wars theme without humming under my breath, “Star Wars! Nothing but Star Wars!”

In honor of that clip, I found some other sci-fi themes that friendly neighborhood geeks have added words to.

If Björk ever does another Medúlla-style album, she should hire this next guy. Check out his a capella Battlestar Galactica theme:
