September 26th, 2008I Don’t Like Musicals (and I Don’t Like Zombies)
But I do like musical zombies!
How Perestroika Really Happened
How did Gorbachov save the Russians from Stalin-zombies? With a Conan axe and eye lasers, of course. Weren’t you people paying attention in high school? Or listening to ANJ?
Now I want Twinkies and Stoli.
I would try to translate for you, but they’re singing in English. Really. And the Cyrillic (besides obvious stuff like перестройка and СССР) is just English typed on a phonetic Russian keyboard.
“Zombie Killer” by Leslie and the Lys (featuring Elvira!)
Not only do they give you good advice (”Shoot the brains if you want to live!”), but they’ve also become my new favorite band for today. Why aren’t they touring in New York soon?

“Dust in the Wind” (Covered by Zombies)
I hope they don’t get sued! I suppose I’m a content-producer of sorts, and lawyers are much scarier than zombies!

If these videos turned you on more than (I think) they should have, there’s Zombie Harmony, because the apocalypse doesn’t have to be lonely.
Do you people (or zombies, if we have any zombie readers) know of any other good zombie musicals, zombie musicians or musicals about zombies?

I don’t know if this counts but there is Evil Dead the Musical. I know it was in New York for a brief while but its currently showing back in Toronto (where it originated from). It’s got some great tracks like “What the F*** Was That?”
there’s plenty of footage on youtube if you want to check it out.
