I totally think Tennant should have been top on the list of the hot geek ten. He is so awesome. Then again he was my first doctor. I have heard very disheartening things about the new Torchwood season from a friend who hunts for that sort of stuff. However Doctor Who is going to be only four specials next year too, so there is speculation that it is due to BBC Budget cuts. I hope thats true. I dont know if I said but I finished the first Dune novel, and it was one of the best sci-fi books ever. I hope to continue reading the series after I finsish the LOTR. Do you guys play wow?

Well boys, those dates for that Lost thing just happen to be the same for the San Diego Comic Con. Looks like ABC is doing the same ala the Viral Marketing Batman scavanger hunt with the ‘Joker Money’ that happened at last year’s CC.

Bill - There was some hopeful news in the comments over at AfterElton. Perhaps these 5 episodes of Torchwood will ultimately be better than 13 would have been? I don’t play WoW. Even when I have the opportunity to play anything online, I tend to play alone. Now *that’s* geek cred.
RattMice - Duh, of course. Thanks for pointing that out!
Keith - I seem to have a penchant for unpaid work (cf. Angry Puppy, Homophonic). ;)

Hey Bill - so glad you liked it! The second Dune novel is different, more abstract and frankly a bit strange and dreamlike, but this is all necessary to the story and themes. The third novel is much more like the first and re-enters the world of Dune politics, religion, and intrigue. Further out the series gets REALLY weird… but honestly it’s still my favorite science fiction universe because it’s so rich.
