Hey guys great vlog as usual. I have always been interested in the Dune stories but never got into them because of the epic size of the universe (this has been my problem with a lot of geekdom). So what trilogy should I start with, or should I just read Dune? Also love the new obligitory torchwood coments sound-effect.

    Yay someone likes our whispering!

Definitely definitely start with the original novel, titled “Dune” and by Frank Herbert. If that doesn’t suck you in nothing will.

    The Easy Rundown:
    - The original 6 novels were written by Frank.
    - Prelude To Dune is the first trilogy written by son Brian, and covers the years leading up to the first 6 novels. Very interesting.
    - Legends of Dune is the second trilogy written by Brian, but is the earliest in the chronology, starting hundreds of years before the first Dune novel. This series is about the origin of the Dune universe and is a bit slower but interesting if you like the universe.

There are additional novels written in the past two years, and more on the way, that take place AFTER the original 6 novels. I haven’t read these yet but will report on them when i do!
