March 20th, 2008Disturbing Ron Paul CGI Ad
I am a fan of technology for technology’s sake.
For instance, I have a Roomba, (named Basil) in a tiny, tiny apartment. Though it takes less time and work to sweep than to prep the room for him, I’d still rather watch him do it.
I am, however, not a fan of this gratuitously CGI Ron Paul ad.
- It’s completely unnecessary. If he turned into a big dragon or something, it would make sense.
- It doesn’t particularly push the boundaries of CGI.
- It reminds me of those posthumous Orville Redenbacher ads.
To Ron Paul’s legion of internet supporters: This isn’t a slam against him, just the ad. So please don’t DDoS me. The nightmares induced by the ad are punishment enough.

You sir….are an idiot.
No need to proceed with further insults as I’m sure enough people have slammed you for your worthless comments…. Doesn’t Push CGI? Seriously wtf are they trying to make here Independence Day? No…idiot

That’s my point. It’s not Independence Day, it’s a political ad. Why is it CGI (and creepy, quasi-human CGI) when they could have just filmed him making that speech?
And this is just a fun blog, not a political commentary site. No need for hateful comments.

As an avid Angry Puppy reader AND a homosexualist who feasts on the tears of babies, I welcome both Ron Paul’s terrifying vision of the recently deceased running America and the hateful comment posted by Gr33k.
I mean, come on. Would you rather see a CGI version of Ron “The Crypt Keeper” Paul or his actual head floating in a belljar of fluid?
Now then. Where did I put my Ambien so I can sleep without Ron-induced night terrors?
