February 20th, 2008O Superman, or The Geeky 80s
Speaking of things that make you gay, scribegrrrl’s post Six ’80s Videos That Made Me Weird and Gay had a couple of good geek videos from that era, including O Superman (featuring Laurie Anderson playing with vocoders when Imogen Heap was still knee high to a grasshopper) and She Blinded Me with Science (Science!).
It’s a great list, but I would have chosen this Grace Jones video for 1981’s “I’ve Seen That Face Before”. It’s making me feel weirder and gayer just posting it.
