January 22nd, 2008Star Trek Site Updated / Trailer Released
The official Star Trek site that we mentioned last week now has a blinking light next to the words “Under Construction”. If you click on it, you get another site Shipyard NCC 1701 with four security camera views, one of which is offline. You can adjust the cameras to bring the images into focus:
According to ComingSoon.net, if you wait long enough, you see a corridor in that offline camera. I’m not geek enough to wait, but I am geek enough to check again later.
If you didn’t get to see the trailer at Cloverfield this weekend, it’s also now available at the main site. You get the same construction guys that you see in the Shipyard NCC 1701 site and some famous space quotes (including Leonard Nimoy’s “Space, the final frontier”). Of course, there’s the obligatory ship porn, but I’d rather they get it out of their systems in the trailers now. Some of those loving, lo-o-o-ong shots of the Enterprise in the earlier movies were fast-forward inducing.
