Toot told us that you have a monster for a vagina and we want to have a house-meeting about it.Friends, not since Angela Baker (Sleepaway Camp I, II, and III) have I rooted so much for the anti-heroine of a horror flick.

Teeth (every rose has its thorns, says the poster) revolves around Dawn, an abstinence-only advocate with a secret.  Namely vagina dentata, i.e. she has razor sharp teeth where no teeth should be.  The not-so-subtle Simpsonesque nuclear power plant looming in the background of all the shots of the town makes clear the cause.

Every rose has its thorns?

At first horrified by this “adaptation” Dawn quickly learns to use it to her advantage.  I’m not going to re-hash the plot.  You know what’s going to happen 20 minutes before it happens.  The point, though, is waiting it out to see that, yes, they just did that in a movie, and, yes, everyone’s laughing.  This is definitely one film you want to catch in the theater or with a group if on DVD.

Once Bitten, Twice ShyMy confessions:

  1. I have no fear of vagina dentata, but it was still kinda icky to see, no, hear in action.
  2. The creepy brother was kind of hot (and I felt bad for him?)
  3. I hope part 2 is less art film and more B movie.
