January 15th, 2008Bogglible: No More Facebook Boggle
Earlier this week, I made a casual reference to Boggle on Facebook. I think it’s also come up in the vlog once or twice, because, you see, Marc is a Boggle addict.
Well, Hasbro has solved all of our problems with a DMCA notification to Bogglific, the developers of the Facebook app.
Hasbro just alienated about 42,000 people, mostly in their 20s and 30s, who may not otherwise have ever played Boggle at all. I understand that they need to protect their patent on, well, finding words in jumbled letters, but isn’t there a way they could have made some money off of this without shutting the developers down altogether?
Now I have to fight him for the Xbox again. Thanks, Hasbro.
